Clochnahill Memorial Cairn
The Clochnahill Memorial Cairn was financed by a donation from Wm Coull Anderson, a descendant from Florida, USA.
It was built with stones taken from the fields at the adjacent Clochnahill Farm. It is now one of the responsibilities of the Glenbervie Burns Sub-Committee of the Fatherland Burns Club. ​
This Memorial Cairn
overlooks CLOCHNAHILL from which, between
1740 - 50, William Burnes
the Father of Scotland's National Poet, left for EDINBURGH, and then AYRSHIRE.

The cairn is located in a layby on the A90, around 7 miles south west of Stonehaven (see bottom left of this map):
